Ghanaian actress, Lydia Forson has taken to social media to register her frustrations about the implementation of the E-Levy.

It could be recalled that the controversial levy is now implented after several weeks of resistance and after it was implemented, many Ghanaians have reacted to it.

In a recent post she made on her verified social media handle on the popular social media platform, Twitter, Lydia spoke about how the president led a demonstration about 25 years ago against high cost of living in Ghana and when he got the chance to be a president, he is implementing a levy at a time when people are barely making ends meet.

The post that Lydia made reads;

“It’s still hard to believe that our president led the Kume Preko against VAT( value added tax) because of the high cost of living then. Over 25 years later, he’s justifying #elevy at a time when people are barely making ends meet. What changed? Power?”

Some reactions her post got are;

@vansly_1 – Power corrupts. They start thinking right once they are away from it.

@VowsJoe – Politics di33 so naa oo. Dema tongue be sugar sccn

@GreyRCF – It’s so funny that they oppose each other’s ideas and then they end up doing what they opposed.
