The Guinean military officer serving as the interim president of Guinea Mamady Doumbouya has demanded the rest of the money given to its players before the commencement of the African Football Cup of Nations (AFCON).
The players of Guinea were kicked out of the tournament a few days ago when they got to round 16. The Guinea players played the match with Gambian players who scored them by a goal to nil.

The president of Guinea Mamady Doumbouya held a meeting with the Guinea football team after they returned home. When he met them, he praised the team for their performance and also told them he has forgiven them for not winning the tournament.
He also told them that he knows it will be difficult to win the trophy but he knows that it will take time since they are still re-building the team.
Surprisingly, Mamady Doumbouya told the team to either go back to win the tournament or return the monies given to them for the quarter-finals, semi-finals and the grand Finale and has asked them to return it as soon as possible.
