Ghanaian gospel musician, Nobel Nketsiah has revealed that he has never received royalties from the Ghana Music Rights Organization(GHAMRO) in his 22yrs as a Ghanaian musician.

Speaking in an interview, Nobel Nketsiah stated that during his era, there were not many structures in the system put in place to monitor and monetize platform to make sure musicians and others industry players are paid their royalties.

However, he revealed that he signed with GHAMRO during the early stage of his music career and he never received royalties, hence he never checked with them again.

He explained that many artistes had to focus on other avenues to make money with their music. Noble Nketsiah noted that he has plans to check in with GHAMRO, especially since they have revamped their revenue collections system.

In other news, controversial entertainment enthusiasts, Lawrence Nana Asiamah Hanson, popularly known as Bullgod has advised gospel musicians to put aside the Bible and demand for better treatment from churches when they call them for shows.

According to him, some pastors have purposes in their minds not to pay gospel musicians what they deserve after their performance because they feel their works are being done to glorify the Lord.

Speaking in an interview on United Showbiz, Bullgod stated that some pastors mention as low as GH¢2000 for gospel musicians to perform at their churches.
