Gospel singer, Cwesi Oteng has waded into why he throws his support behind president, Akufo-Addo at the upcoming presidential elections.
He explained that the president has been fighting for the country ever since Ghana was in a military rule and his commitment to the nation shows that he can do better for the country.
According to him, he was angry over how people refuse to talk about his personality when he was a citizen and what he did with regard to the demonstration he led.

The singer noted that he thinks Akufo-Addo deserves a second chance because he has track records of fighting for the country and after winning the previous elections he has practically done a lot for the country.
Speaking in an interview on Hitz Fm’s Daytbreak show, he indicated that Ghanaians uses his achievements when he captured power to judge like the Free Senior High School policy but also they should check what he did for the country when he was just a citizen.
The singer, however, added that after endorsing Nana Akufo-Addo, there has been a backlash from commentators but those drags can’t stop him from pushing his agenda.
He revealed that the President’s plan to build a national cathedral is the main reason he’s supporting him.

Cwesi Oteng, born Hermon Cyrus Kwesi Nhyira Oteng also stressed that as he’s supporting the president due to the cathedral if any president attains power and wants to build a national shrine he has no problem with it.
