Ghanaian rapper and singer Joey B has reacted to the statement made by legendary Ghanaian music promoter and former artiste manager Mark Okraku Mantey that Ghanaian songs lack quality.
A few days ago, Mark Okraku Mantey, the General Overseer of Hitz FM, a subsidiary of Multimedia Group revealed that Ghanaian songs written and produced in Ghana are of low quality.
His comments received a lot of reactions from some industry stakeholders and Joey B, the ‘Tonga’ hitmaker replied.
Taking to his Twitter page, Joey B shared in the thoughts of Mark Okraku, however, he noted that the last well written and produced song is Darko Vibes’ ‘Tomorrow’ and Sarkodie’s ‘Anadwo’.
Therefore, it has taken Joey B who is himself a songwriter, producer, and rapper to reply by saying:
i agree. to me, last well written x produced is darko vibes – tomorrow and sarkodie – anadwo.
