The Flag-bearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), John Dramani Mahama has been installed as the Nkosouhene (Development Chief) of the Apesika Traditional area in the Kintampo South constituency of the Bono East Region.
John Mahama was given the stool name Nana Beyeman Kwame Ababio I, then was taken through the customary rites by the Chief of Jema and Kyidomhene of the Nkoranza Traditional Council, Nana Amponsah Gyan II.

Explaining the rational behind the honour Nana Amponsah Gyan II said that the NDC presidential candidate did alot of developmental projects in the area when he was the President of Ghana.
Nana Amponsah added that such projects like roads ,water and schools really helped them as people and is still helping them as such he deserves the honour.
