Marlon Mack, the Colts’ starting running back, was replaced by Taylor at the beginning of the season. In the opening game of the 2020 campaign against the Jacksonville Jaguars, Taylor made his NFL debut. In the 27-20 defeat, he had six receptions for 67 receiving yards and nine rushes for 22 rushing yards.

For the Colts’ opening game of the 2021 season, Taylor was selected as the starting running back. In Week 4’s victory over the Miami Dolphins, he gained 103 yards and a rushing touchdown on 16 attempts.

Taylor has 1,811 rushing yards and 18 rushing touchdowns by the end of the 2021 season, making him the top in both categories.
