Jordan Ayew has become the latest Black Stars player to test positive for coronavirus after the international break.

The striker was confirmed positive after he returned to his club, Crystal Palace, from Ghana camp. Jordan played in the two friendly games against Mali and Qatar.

“Yes, he [Jordan Ayew] tested positive after returning from international duty with Ghana like many other Ghanaian players. We were quite happy for him to go but has now returned and can’t play,” Crystal Palace manager, Roy Hodgson revealed on Sunday.

“I don’t know when he will return but like all, he has to follow the government guidelines so I don’t know,” he added.

Jordan is the third Ghanaian player involved in the friendlies to have tested positive after Bernard Mensah and Gideon Mensah.

Jordan is expected to self-isolate for 10 days and tests negative before returning to training.
