The president of Ghana, Nana Addo Dankwah Akufo-Addo has banned funerals, weddings and other social gatherings in the country.

He made this known in his recent address to the nation on measures to combat the spread of the deadly COVID-19 disease.

The address was given on Sunday, January 31 and according to the president, this has become very necessary due to the increase in the number of cases.

So far, all the 16 regions in Ghana have recorded the cases. More to follow!!!
