Nollywood actress Kate Henshaw received a special recognition award at the just ended Eko Star Film & TV Awards.

Kate Henshaw is a renowned Nigerian actress who is seen as very consistent and celebrated across the continent of Africa and beyond. She won her first Africa Movie Academy Award for Best Actress in a ‘Leading Role’ for her performance in the movie ‘Stronger than Pain’ in 2008.

She made her debut on the big screens in 1993 when she was chosen to play the lead role in the movie ‘When the Sun Sets’ and has since starred in several movies across the length and breath of Africa and beyond including; ‘Aremu The Principal’, ‘Chief Daddy’, ‘New Money’, ‘The Ghost and the House of Truth’ etc.

She is seen as a very outspoken celebrity who is very active and not scared to share her opinion on matters regarding education, religion, entertainment, politics etc. and played a very importanat role in the EndSARS demonstration that was held across Nigeria on October 2020.

Kate is often quizzed by many who thinks the actress is getting more prettier and energetic the more she’s growing old, whenever she uploads videos of her workouts at the gym on her various social media platforms.

She was awarded the special recognition award for her outstanding contribution to the Nigerian Film and Television Industry at the Eko Star Film and TV Awards which was held yesterday by the Lagos State Ministry of Tourism, Art and Culture.

Kate after the award took to her Twitter page to share the good news with her fans and loved ones with the caption;
