Ke Huy Quan’s Net Worth. Ke Huy Quan was born on August 20, 1971, in Saigon, South Vietnam (now Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam) to Vietnamese parents of Chinese (Hoa) origin. He has eight brothers and sisters.

Quan played Short Round and Data in the 1984 films Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom and The Goonies, respectively (1985).

He appeared in the films Encino Man and Head of the Class before retiring from acting owing to a lack of opportunities and receiving a film degree from the USC School of Cinematic Arts.

Later in his career, he served as an assistant director and stunt coordinator. Quan received the Golden Globe for Best Supporting Actor for his performance as a frightened spouse exploring the universe in the science fiction film Everything Everywhere All at Once (2022).

At the age of 12, Quan debuted as Harrison Ford’s sidekick Short Round in Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom. The casting director interviewed students at Castelar Elementary School, including his younger brother.

Quan is fluent in Mandarin, Cantonese, Vietnamese, and English. He is Vietnamese-American and derived from Han Chinese, more specifically from Vietnam’s Chinese Hoa minority.

Quan is married and resides in Woodland Hills, Los Angeles. Jeff Cohen, his Goonies co-star and Quan’s entertainment attorney, is a close friend.
