Kenya president Uhuru Kenyatta shared a photo of himself and a music group called FBI Dance Crew doing the dab dance and his citizens became so outraged that they took to social media to tongue-lash him.

What the president did is akin to what former president of Ghana John Mahama did in the build up to the election in December. Mahama engaged in lots of youthful antics including sharing a picture of himself mimicking Usain’s trademark celebration. Ghanaians were not amused at all and voted him out.

Kenyans are currently going through trying moments in all facets with reports saying labour strike and economic stagnation are the main threat looming in the country. In December last year for instance, 100 mentally patient were said to have escaped from Mathari Hospital in Nairobi and shutdown busiest highway in the country, following a strike action by doctors.

A Twitter user said, “Pathetic that people are dying and President Uhuru enjoying it all at statehouse like a movie.”

Another said, “#Dabofshame is not about a Dancing President Vs striking doctors. It is about Dancing President Vs poor, sick Kenyans dying at home.”
