Outspoken Ghanaian actress, Lydia Forson has lashed out at parents who even prefer their children to speak English at home.
According to the beautiful actress, knowing how to speak English at the expense of your local language is not something that one should be proud of.
She made these comments in a recent tweet where she wrote;
“I wish people would say “woti Fante” the way they tell me “woti brofo.”
Honestly, knowing English better than your own local language isn’t something to be that proud of.
I thank my parents for forcing Fante on us when we grew up outside,even though it’s not perfect.”
