Just some few days ago, we reported news about the authorities of Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) banning sports betting among students and in a reply by some section of the students, they described the decision as ‘DUMB’.
These section of students have outrightly kicked against the decision by the school’s management to ban gambling and sports betting on campus.

Some aggrieved students stated their readiness to challenge the move by the school’s management and will find a way to still bet by buying their own data as that is the only way they make money to take care of their education.
“This attempt by the school is not enough, you block it on the wi fi side but I get my own money and I can do it myself. This is actually the dumbest thing I’ve heard so far, my mother and father are no more and bet has been the only good thing that has ever happened to me,” a student said.
“Sometimes you need money to do something but you don’t know where to get the money and let’s say you have your last GHC5 or GHC10 you can use to bet and when the light shines you can get GHC100 or GH50 for the week,” another student stated.
