Rapper Okyeame Kwame has explained why humility is essential in sustaining one’s longevity and relevance in the music industry.

The veteran rapper, who has been in the game for over two decades, said his relevance is due to the fact that he learnt from his predecessors whiles speaking at a seminar for young acts on how to stay relevant which came off at Weija, Accra on Jan. 23, 2020.

The former member of the evergreen group Akyeame said despite his achievement, he still sends songs to Highlife legends, Kojo Antwi and Amakye Dede to approve his songs before releasing them.

“I learnt from the likes of Rex Omar, Amakye Dede, Kojo Antwi and still learn from Nana Ampadu because I wanted to better my career and stay relevant for a long period of time.

“I still send my songs to Kojo Antwi and Amakye Dede to approve before I release them,” he revealed.
