Asante Kotoko have appointed Nana Yaw Amponsah as their new Chief Executive following months of uncertainty.

The ambitious football administrator has landed the job he has so desired after initial reports suggested he had been snubbed.

Amponsah was the clear favorite two months and was set to be appointed after successful vetting but Manhyia placed an embargo on the board.

He is said to have leaked information related to his meeting to the media, prompting Manhyi a to block his appointment.

He holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology and Political Science from the University of Ghana, Legon, and a Master’s Degree in Sports Law and Practices from the Leicester DE Montfort University, UK.

From 2008 to 2018, he was a Licensed Player Agent/Intermediary and transferred over 50 players from Ghana and almost 100 across the globe, which brought huge revenues to Ghanaian Clubs in the process.

In 2019, he contested the Ghana Football Association (GFA) presidential elections, losing to Kurt Okraku.
