The man who is passing himself off as the biological father of musician Kuami Eugene has revealed that the singer’s actual name is Frank Kofi Boakye, not Eugene Kwame Marfo.

The man, Mr. Boakye told Kofi TV in an interview that he himself named the boy moments after he was born while adding that when he was struggling with financial issues, and thus got separated from Kuami’s mother, she changed his name to ‘Marfo’ after her second husband.

He further said Kuami was not even born on Saturday so he’s wondering where he got the ‘Kuami’ from. “Kuami Eugene’s real name is Frank Kofi Boakye. I don’t know where the Kuami is coming from because he is not a Saturday born. I was present when his mother gave birth to him and I personally christened him,” he revealed.

He also debunked speculations that he was after the star’s money.

“I’m not after his money. I have not been rich all my life but at least I’m not dead. I have other children. I have a son who just completed KNUST and a girl who is also working currently so it’s not about the money. I just need to see my son. I need him to recognize me as his father,” he explained.
