A young lady has recounted how a benevolent taxi driver offered her a free ride.

The lady made this known in the popular South African Facebook group, #ImStaying where she revealed that she started her first ever job adding that with absolutely no support system she had no option but to hitch hike to and from work.

However, she had to spend a whopping three hours at her usual spot for over and none of the cars stopped.

She stated that it was already very dark and she was getting scared so she decided to go to the taxi rank hoping someone can help me there. She then went straight to the queue marshal and explained to him that she has no transport fare and she needs to get home, asking for his help.

The post she made reads;

“We normally hear bad stories about our taxi drivers but I have a positive one to tell… so on Thursday I started my first ever job I was so excited finally I get to work for my 4 year old and 2 months old but with absolutely no support system I had no option but to hitch hike to and from work. So yesterday after work I stood at my usual spot for over 3 hours none of the cars stopped and it was already very dark and I was getting scared so I decided to go to the taxi rank hoping someone can help me there, I went straight to the queue marshal explained to him that I have no transport fare and I need to get home could he please help me, he called the driver of the taxi that’s going to my section and said to him “mfowethu siza nayi ingane ayinamali” which loosely translates to “brother help this child she has no taxi fare” the driver didn’t ask any questions he just said “get inside the taxi my child ” for that #I

‘M STAYING because of the 2 gentleman I managed to safely get home to my kids.”
