A young Nigerian lady is stunned by the reaction of her cousin’s parents after he had an accident with their car.
According to the lady, she was with her cousin when the incident occurred along the Utako road this weekend.
Speaking about the incident, she stated that the guy lost control of the car due to a failure in the brake system, and the first persons he called were his parents.
When he called, there was no overreaction or anger, adding that it was just genuine love and kindness.

“My cousin and I were involved in an accident with his parents car along utako road this weekend. He lost control of the car due to a failure in the brake system, and the first persons he called were his parents.
Like I was shocked, I mean it wasn’t a fatal accident, like nothing happened to us, it was just the car, that was damaged because it ran into an electric pole.
When he called his parents tho, they was no overreaction or anger, it was just genuine love and kindness, I was baffled, they asked us if we were okay, asked our location and sent a mechanic to us, to toll the car and bring us home.
On the way home all that was on my mind was how, like are his parents so kind, Omo in my house that if I break common plate, my mom would lose it.
So when we arrived at his house his parents checked to see if we were okay, asked us more about how it happened, comforted us, they were like this could happen to anyone, we are just happy both of you are okay. They made us know that it wasn’t our fault.
Guyyyyyyy, in mind I was like whatttt? Omo if I mistakenly drove my mother’s car into a pole I wouldn’t have liver to go back to my house, I would literally borrow money, idc, I would do whatever I can to fix it before I get home, but his parents were so calm.
They grounded him for a week and told him wouldn’t drive himself for a month.
So after we finished speaking to his parents, I asked him how he had the confidence to tell his parents, because me I can never, and he said, like that’s just how his family is, that no matter what he does, no matter the mistake he can confide in his parents.
I was shocked, because my parents don’t even know anything about me, my family is like the opposite, if I make a mistake I would do my best to hide it from my parents and that’s because even it was a genuine mistake they still keep bringing it up and blaming me.
So I asked him what about when you do something, he smiled and was like he still tells them, he said it’s not as if they don’t get angry o, they do especially when they’ve warned him about it before, but he said he just knows that their anger is from a place of love.
Anyhow sha like I was shocked. The way his parents view him and the way he views his parents is very unique, so I said lemme share, is it like normal, are most Nigerian parents this nice, or is he an exception, what do y’all think in general tho?”
