Oscar Emeremnini, a cab-hailing driver, was assassinated in Lagos by unknown perpetrators suspected of being carjackers.
The Bolt driver was allegedly stabbed multiple times before his Toyota Corolla was taken by his assailants.
According to a source who spoke to Lindaikeji blog, one of the killers pretended to be a passenger and sought the driver’s services about 12 a.m. on Sunday, December 5.
His lifeless remains was later discovered discarded near the Iyana Ipaja bridge.
“His ride was ordered by some unknown persons before 12am this morning, however at about 1 am his corpse was dumped by the foot of Iyana Ipaja bridge and his toyota corolla car was stolen,” the source said.
“He had an axe cut on his fore head, back of the head and his left foot. His corpse was identified upon a call placed by the wife around 1 am when the receiver of the call said the owner of the phone is lying on the road.
“The Gowon Estate Police were too professional in the discharge of their duties, from removing his corpse from the road to depositing the corpse at the Mainland Hospital morgue Yaba.” the source added.
In other news, Mercy Aigbe has lamented about the sad demise of 12 year old Sylvester Oromoni who is a student of Dowen College.
For the past few days, social media users have gone berserk demanding for justice to be served after Sylvester was brutalised for refusing to join the cult of his friends.
Oromoni died on 30 November after a week of ill-health, said to have arisen initially from an injury sustained on the football pitch.
On Wednesday, Perrison, Sylvester’s cousin disclosed the news of his death on Twitter and fingered the school for overlooking the killing.

Reacting to the global outcry for justice and the condemning of the school for turning a blind eye and trying to cover up the case, Mercy Aigbe has descended heavily on them.
She wondered how the house master and the school authorities in general couldn’t get a hint about the atrocities going on in the school.
According to her, the level of incompetence of Dowen College makes it undesirable to be called a school. She added that she is so pained, urging the appropriate authorities to launch a thorough investigation to bring the perpetrators to book.
She wrote;
So the house master, school authorities want to claim that they didn’t notice, the horrible traits in those badly raised children?
Where was the hostel manager when all that beating, all that commotion was taking place?
Why rush to put out a statement? The useless school didn’t even exercise refrain to make sure they thoroughly investigated before putting out their nonsense lie! Do they know about this? Are they covering something ?
@dowencollegelagos isn’t fit to be a school, it should just be permanently SHUT DOWN!!!!! I mean the level of incompetency! No child is safe there! Other schools with cases of bullying/harassment should also be thoroughly investigated and if found culpable should be shut down!
