Lai Mohammed, the Minister Of Information And Culture has asked the Nigerian Broadcasting Commissi on (NBC) to halt the activities of the BBNaija over fears of the spread of Covid -19.
The ministry fears of a possible spread of COVID-19 among housemates as they have never been spotted on an occasion with their nose mask and adhering to protocols set up by the federal government to combat the spread of the virus.
The housemates are seen frolicking around the house like there is no virus at stake to deal with.
The acting director-general of NBC, Armstrong Idachaba informed senior management members that he had been directed by the minister to shut down the show. The minister wanted the letter about ending the show to come from the NBC because of the assertion that he is purposely chasing MultiChoice Ltd, producers of the show, out of Nigeria
MultiChoice replied back and said that it had obeyed a set of guidelines before kickstarting the show and had been working closely with the Lagos State Safety Commission.
