The death of the police officer identified as Constable Emmanuel Osei who was guarding a bullion van carting cash from the bank has been one of the most unfortunate incidents which occurred yesterday.

The daylight robbery attack was said to have occurred in the early hours of yesterday at Jamestown, Accra when the bullion van was attacked by some armed robbers on the street.

The armed robbers were said to have made away with an unspecified amount of money and also killing three people at the spot.

Constable Emmanuel Osei was shot dead in the head as well as the driver of the van and a pregnant woman who was drawing the attention of the public while the robbery was ongoing.

Well, the last photo of the late police officer and his last WhatsApp message has popped up on social media which has sparked mixed reactions on the digital platform.

His last message reads; “EVERYONE DIES IN THE END”.

Meanwhile, the IGP, James Oppong Boanuh has directed the Director-General of the of the Criminal Investigations Department (CID), Maame Yaa Tiwaa Addo-Danquah to takeover investigations pertaining to the attack.

In a statement released by the police, the Inspector General of Police (IGP) Mr. James Oppong-Boanuh has directed the Director-General of the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) to take over investigations into the attack on a bullion van at Adedenpo, a suburb of James Town in Accra on Monday, June 14, 2021, which led to the murder of a police officer.
