Caleb Kudah has been the talk of town for the past few days after he was arrested for filming at the premises of the National Security headquarters in Accra. His arrest was followed by some National Security personnel storming the CITI FM premises to arrest his colleague Zoe after it was alleged that he sent the recorded video to her.

Many Ghanaians has been sharing their views about whether the young journalist broke the rules and the code of ethics of his profession as it’s known over the years that filming at the National Security premises is prohibited.

Kofi Yeboah reacting to the news has stated Caleb Kudah didn’t break any rule of code of ethics for the association contrary to what his boss, the GJA president Roland Affail Monney stated in an interview with Joy FM early today.

According to Monney, Caleb’s conduct was against the article 13 of the Code of Ethics of the association;

Caleb erred, as far as our ethics is concerned. He clearly breached the ethics relative to Article 13 of our own Code of Ethics which specifies that journalists should take pictures through fair, straight forward and honest means unless tampered by national interest. His interest here is not so clear. From the face of it, we believe he erred”

In a post on Facebook, the general secretary of the association stated Caleb didn’t break any article 13 of the association’s Code of Ethics and is pleading to the general public to help break this ‘culture of silence’ in the country recently.
