Nigerians have reacted to a video of Americans living in Texas queueing up to fetch tap water trickling out of a roadside tap in Houston, following a disturbing Winter storm that swept across the city and its environs.
An ABC News reporter, Erica Simon shared a video of Texans carrying their containers and buckets to fetch water as there is shortage of water coupled with power outage which has made living conditions unbearable for them for several days.
Erica wrote:
This is not a third-world country. This is Houston, Texas. I spotted a line of people filing up buckets of water from a spigot at Haden Park. Why? Millions either have no water or are under a Boil Water Advisory.
Nigerians have taken to Twitter to mock Americans for now queuing up just to fetch water yet they are developed country.
