French side, Olympique Lyon ended the dream of Cristiano Ronaldo and his side, Juventus, of winning this year’s UEFA Champions League.
Lyon advanced to the quarter finals of the competition edging out the old ladies in crunchy encounter in Turin. Cristiano Ronaldo’s two goals were not enough to ensure his side advanced to the next stage of the competition.
Lyon qualified due to their superior away goal scored by Ghanaian-born Dutch international, Memphis Depay.
The next stage of the competition will be played in a one-leg encounter and this is due to the outbreak of the deadly Coronavirus disease.
