Without any shred of prejudice and partisan politics, we can all unanimously agree that Nana Akufo Addo and his New Patriotic Party (NPP) administration have been a very huge disappointment.

It’s a shame most of us are so engrossed with tribal and partisan politics so much that we have turned a blind eye to all of Nana Akufo Addo’s glaring shortcomings and still trumpeting 4More 4Nana from the abyss of our weak diaphragm.
Forget about the cunning freebies given to Ghanaians during the Covid-19 period and the so-called Free SHS which is even wobbling on it’s feeble leg, Nana Akufo Addo hasn’t done anything to be given a second chance. He should just take the back seat and start planning how he will lead his life in opposition.

In the same breath, John Dramani Mahama did not live up to expectation during his tenure and we can understand why he’s desperate to come back to remedy all his wrongs which culminated in his heavy loss back in 2016.
Arguably, he’s not the alternative to the NPP given the many spectre that dented his reign but since he’s the lesser of the two evils, this author strongly believes John Dramani Mahama will certainly win the 2020 polls.
However there’s are some sacrifices he has to make to ensure his victory. We can understand his desperation going by the gargantuan promises he has made so far but he has to be honest with us. John Dramani Mahama should be sincere and tell us which promises he can fulfil and the ones he can’t before we even go to the polls. He should not take us for fools and be building castles in the air when he knows that within the confines of his faculties he’s only coming to take us for a ride.
We have reached a point where we want politicians to know that our destiny is tied to their umbilical cord of their actions and inactions.
Moreover, the NDC leader should be able to eschew corruption, one of the banes that caused his downfall, and promise Ghanaians that he will jail corrupt politicians regardless of which party they served in.

He should let sincerity guide his utterances in these few days left to the polls. He should look us in the eyes and tell us the pragmatic policies that will change the destiny of this country and alleviate our sufferings.
