Manchester City manager, Pep Guardiola reportedly locked his Manchester City players in the dressing room following their loss to Jose Mourinho’s Tottenham Hotspur in the Premier League.

Tottenham Hotspurs won 2-0 in London on Sunday after the Manchester City squandered a number of chances to put the game to bed in the first half.

Goals from debutant Steven Bergwijn and Son Heung-Min secured a win for the London-based club.

The Daily Express reports that Pep locked his players in the dressing room for about 45 minutes following their defeat as he was eager to hold an investigation into what went wrong in the match.

However, Pep in his post-match interview said;

“I was talking with my staff, my wife, and some players. I don’t have too many things to say about the performance.

Never, with this performance? How should I be critical of my players with this performance?

With this performance, it would be an incredible mistake to point to them and say how bad they are, it is not true. It’s not football, football is to create chances and concede few.

To believe in this concept, you are closer to win the game. Few times this season it did happen and it happened.”
