For some time now, it has always been the wish of the US-based social media commentator, Twene Jonas for the operation of illegal mining to be abolished in the country.

This comes after some residents in some parts of the country complained bitterly about how the operation of illegal miners is destroying their water bodies in their various communities.
He has also alleged that some government officials are into the act and yet have the mandate to condemn private organizations who also practice the same thing.
Recall, Twene Jonas landed himself into quite a predicament after he verbally assaulted the Asantehene, Otumfour Osei Tutu II for watching illegal miners destroy water bodies in the Ashanti Region without taking any action against them.
In a video currently making rounds on social media, a man who is heavily involved was seen lambasting Twene Jonas over his quest to have Galamsey abolished in the country.
The guy who was flaunting the amount of money he made from work urged Twene Jonas to base his sentiments on something that will favor everyone in the country and not condemn others.
He claims that the amount of money he makes in a day is someone else’s monthly salary so, therefore, he has no intentions to quit Galamsey anytime soon.
The yet-to-be-identified guy further stated that no one has ever complained of any illness from drinking from the same water that has been destroyed by the illegal miners, thus Twene Jonas’ points are baseless.
