A young man from Tamale, the northern regional capital, has sent shock waves to his friends after dying shortly after announcing the date of his Islamic wedding.
Fuseini Sayibu Baba, known among his classmates as Citizen Shaibu Promzy, was ready to walk down the aisle with Ibrahim Latifa known among her colleagues as Queen, but this was never the case.

The future groom had taken to Facebook on February 14, 2021, which was Valentine’s Day, to write “All families and friends are welcome to my wedding, next week, on February 21, 2021. Thank you.”
According to the attached flyer, the event was scheduled to be held simultaneously in Vittin and Lamasehgu, respectively, both suburbs of Tamale Metropolis on February 21, 2021.
Later news came that Fuseini Sayibu Baba died hours after publication, leaving several of the colleagues distraught over him.
Details of the cause of death are still scarce, but he will be buried in accordance with Islamic custom, while calls have been made for the future wife to undergo some form of psychological counseling.
