A man identified as Amuza Kamulya has been jailed 50 years in prison for raping his biological daughter and also impregnating her as well.

The man who threatened to kill his daughter if she shows up in court pleaded guilty after the girl including her mother appeared before the court to testify against him following a warrant of arrest against her and her mother to testify in the trial.
Justice Magaret Mutonyi who presided over the case described Amuza Kamulya’s case as “monstrous and satanic.”
“The monstrous convict robbed his daughter of her self-esteem and betrayed her trust in him. His reckless, satanic and savagery conduct, has left a mark on her that will never be erased from her mind and the damage is for a life time,”
“The convict, in this case, being a biological father, who chose to abuse his daughter instead of protecting her, deserved to be sentenced to death by hanging but because he pleaded guilty, I am considering a lesser punishment of 50 years,” the judge added.
In his defense, Amuza used to move around with his daughter to graze his cattle in the name of “He is protecting her from the boys in the area” but instead was taking advantage of her and raped her.
Further in her judgment, Justice Mutonyi observed that sexual violence against children has become rampant and that courts needed to send a strong signal to the perpetrators.
