A man who attempted to commit suicide in Ikeja has been rescued.

The man was rescued by officers of the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA) with the incident happening at the National Bus Stop in Ikeja.

This was confirmed by the Director-General of the Olufemi Oke-Osanyintolu in an interview with News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Lagos.

He indicated in the interview that the man allegedly fell from a height on and after this caught the attention of people around, a call was placed to the agency.

Officers from his outfit rushed to the scene and this made was rescued by these officers. He stated that these LASEMA officials met the man with an open lacerated wound on the heel of his left leg.

He added that the man also sustained a suspected fracture at the distal end of the right tibia on account of alcohol intoxication and suicide attempt.

In his submission, he said;

“Information gathered at the scene of incident was that the adult man fell from height with a view of suicide attempt.”

The fortunate thing is that the man was immediately rushed to the Ikeja General Hospital for further treatment.
