Stories like what the above caption depict are becoming prevalent lately and like we think this largely boils down to how ‘conscious’ people are becoming when it comes to religion.
As we all know, religion thrives and sustained through indoctrination and it’s when people try to ‘unlearn’ all the things their young mind were fed with as they grow and start exploring.
So this Twitter user identified as Dave Gass is one in many who after being a devout Christian for 40 years and a pastor for 20 years has decided that the religion is a hoax and only a means to control people and culture and not an actual direct path to God or a spiritual being.
In a post which we sighted, the former man of God explained why he is taking this position and choosing to chase genuine love and authenticity at age 40.
Gass stated that in all his years of belief, he has never for once had any spiritual encounter or experience and yet he remained true to his faith and the religion.
He came to the conclusion that Christianity was just means to an end for some powerful people and has chosen to abandon his faith after seeing first hand that nothing actually works when one is imbibed in Christianity.
