A man whose name was given as Mati Abdu has bagged a death sentence after he was found guilty of defilement.
He will be stoned to death for his action. The sentence was given at an Upper Shariah Court sitting in the state and this was after he was arrested by the Police in 2019 for the alleged defilement of a 12-year-old-girl.

The presiding judge, Justice Ibrahim Sarki Yola arrived at the sentence after hearing the case and the subsequent submissions made by witnesses.

This was confirmed by the Kano Courts Public Relations Officer, Baba Jibo in a recent press statement.
