Internationally acclaimed South African DJ Master KG was honoured with a Diamond plaque in France yesterday for his hit song Jerusalema with Nomcebo Zikode.
Jerusalema became the global anthem last year when the whole world was covered under the dark cloud of Covid-19.
The song has gone on to win award after award across the globe with Master KG even once suggesting that he will need another house for the awards coming his way.

To say Master KG has had a remarkable rise to fame is an understatement. Master KG is now out of the league of many top South African artists. Recently the 24-year-old walked away with the Global Record of the Year Award at the Global Music Awards.
Chatting about the success of Jerusalema to eNCA, Master KG revealed that he sometimes feels emotional.
“It’s so amazing. Like to see those families enjoying this dance at home. Dancing together, from kids to their parents. Like everybody. It’s so nice to see. Sometimes I feel emotional when I’m seeing everybody showing love to this dance. It’s so beautiful to see,” he said.
“There was a video actually, that I saw these other guys doing on the internet. I think they are from Angola. The dance originated from here in SA. But then there’s a video that went viral from these guys from Angola. From there, that video was just everywhere from there everyone just started following that video and doing that dance. After that I see everyone in the world doing it.”
Adding on to Master KG’s words, Nomcebo revealed that Jerusalema was an answer to her prayers.
“I feel blessed. Every day when I wake up I feel like pinching myself. Is it real? What’s going on? ‘ve been praying for such a song and I think God heard me and has answered my prayers.”
