Mauricio Pochettino has won his first trophy with PSG a few weeks after his appointment as head coach.

The trophy is also the first in his managerial career which started in 2009.

Pochettino led PSG to beat Marseille 2-1 in the final of this season’s Trophee des Champions – France’s version of the Community Shield – a game between the league and cup winners.

The match was Pochettino’s third game in charge of PSG following his appointment earlier this month.

It was only the former Spurs manager’s third game in charge of PSG after being appointed earlier this month.

Mauro Icardi tapped home PSG’s opener from close range and won a penalty which Neymar scored for the second. Dmitri Payet scored a late consolation with a clever flick for Marseille.

The win means PSG have won the trophy for the eighth straight time.
