Christianity in Africa has become a charade which hinges on buffoonery and hogwash.

The church members have been rendered to sheep (sheep by nature are stupid and careless) who cling on to whatever their pastor do despite signs that show they have not been called God.

This article explores some of these pastors and to put it bluntly, you have to clearly avoid these bunch of so-called men of God if you want to make it to heaven.

Admittedly, we could have included over 40 pastors in this list but in the meantime, let’s look at only these five.

1. Bishop Daniel Obinim- Ghana

Even if you don’t live in Ghana, we guess a simple search on the internet can give you loads of infamous escapades of this Kumasi-based Ghanaian pastor.

He recently flirted with yet another controversy when he claimed he has special oil that can cure coronavirus. Presently, he has a feud with Ghanaian lawmaker Kennedy Agyapong who has exposed all the dirty skeletons hidden in his closet, including fraud, sleeping with females of his church.

2. Prophet Shepherd Bushiri- South Africa

Bushiri was once accused of allegedly intimidated his staff when they demanded payment for helping him perform “miracles”.

“People are bought to testify. They are bought to act sick and crippled, and later give testimony that they were healed by prophet Bushiri,” said a Hawks official.

The Hawks also launched an investigation into Bushiri’s money-laundering activities in 2019.

3. Pastor Alph Lukau- South Africa

Pastor Alph Lukau is the founder of Alleluia Ministries. He’s a televangelist, author and mister of the Gospel. He has a long history of jaw dropping controversies that clearly undermine his credibility as a true man of God. In 2019, he caused a huge scare that gained worldwide recognition by bringing a dead man to life.

Speaking to Gauteng broadcaster Power FM’s Power Drive host Thabiso Tema, Lukau said he was busy with a sermon on Sunday when he was interrupted and told that a person in a coffin had been brought to the church.

“Before entering the premises of the church, the coffin began to shake, meaning the person was alive,” Lukau explained. “I am really sorry for the misrepresentation of facts, the man was not dead and has never been in the mortuary as we earlier said”,

When asked by the host why the man had been brought to the church in the first place, Lukau said: “I am not sure if I can make a statement that he was brought to me. We are the house of God and I’m just a pastor serving in the house of the Lord. But I am sorry that we didn’t tell people the truth in the first place”, he said.

4. T.B Joshua

The Synagogue Church of All Nations (SCOAN) Temitope Joshua, popularly called TB Joshua, was accused of rape in 2019 by a former member.

Mr Joshua was accused by Bisola Johnson of molestation and rape of church members, including herself. Ms Johnson, an author, said Mr Joshua held her captive for about 14 years.

She made the claim on June 30 when she took part in a demonstration against Biodun Fatoyinbo of Commonwealth Zion Assembly (COZA) in Lagos. Mr Fatoyinbo had been accused of rape by Busola Dakolo, and forced to step down as leader of COZA on July 1.

“I was sexually molested by T.B. Joshua,” Ms Johnson said. “I was trapped in Synogague Church for 14 years.” She also alleged that children, ages eight, 11 and 14, were molested inside the church.

5. Prophet Penuel- South Africa

Prophet Mnguni is the head of End Times Disciples Ministries in Soshanguve, Pretoria, South Africa. He is famed for feeding his followers snakes – which he claims turn into chocolates.

In other instances, the 25-year-old pastor allegedly turned his church members into snakes in 2016 and he asked members to get naked before praying to him.

In 2018, News24 reported that he had served his congregants dog meat for communion. In a video posted on the self-proclaimed prophet’s Facebook page, Mnguni can be seen feeding dog meat to his followers.
