Popular Nollywood actor Leonard Chimezie Onyemachi known popularly as Leo Mezie has cheated death after he survived a serious kidney aliment after battling with the disease for a year.
Leo Mezie is a well known Nigerian actor, model, television personality, entrepreneur and a philanthropist who hails from Umuahia, Abia State in the South eastern part of Nigeria. Leo Mezie has been off the screens for some time after sickness held him captive.

In 2016, Leo was diagnosed with Kidney related aliment. Sources say he was battling with the kidney disease without any medical attention until his second kidney got affected and was rushed to the hospital. He was put on weekly dialysis by medical doctors until a kidney transplant is transplanted.
However, Leo Mezie came out in 2019 to announce that he didn’t undergo the kidney transplant and that his kidneys are working fine now. Leo Mezie is looking healthy and strong.
