The pair lost their titles and all protection right after they decided to quit royal life to live an ordinary life away from the palace. They are reportedly leaving their Canadian home to finally settle in Los Angeles where Meghan can fully concentrate on her acting career and profit with Harry on other businesses.
According to a source inside the palace, Harry and Meghan’s decision affects their protection in the U.S since stepping down as a member of the royal family removes you under the umbrella of protection from countries having a protective agreement over it royals with the Royal Family and United Kingdom. The U.K which has a reciprocal agreement With the U.S on protecting it diplomats and members of the Royal family is in no way obligated to pay for the security of the couple since they have lost their royalty.

The onus lies on Trump to accept payment but looks quiet unacceptable, looking at the tension between him and Meghan. There is no hope of Trump doing so as he has announced on his twitter handle that the couple will pay for their own security in the US.
‘I am a great friend and admirer of the Queen & the United Kingdom. It was reported that Harry and Meghan, who left the Kingdom, would reside permanently in Canada. Now they have left Canada for the U.S. however, the U.S. will not pay for their security protection. They must pay!’
”The couple would have had to rely on President Trump to make an exception to cover the costs, It will be down to Harry or his Met Police protection officers to ask for help,’ the source said.
‘There is a reciprocal agreement between the US that allows protection officers to carry their weapons. But Harry is no longer a serving royal and that is why his protection in Canada from the Mounties was withdrawn.
‘Someone is going to have to ask the State Department, and ultimately the decision rests with Donald Trump, for assistance. Harry cannot live in the US without armed protection.’ A Royal Palace source speaking to Daily Mail UK said.
