Who is Michael Boulos’s Father?

The father of Michael Boulos is Massad Boulos. Massad and his brothers, Anthony and Gabriel, founded Boulos Enterprise.

Boulos Enterprises is a Nigerian motorcycle, power bike, tricycle, and outboard motor distribution, assembly, and trading company.

Anthony and Gabriel Boulos founded the company. The company is home to several well-known brands, including Aprilia, Moto Guzzi, and Haojue. It is Suzuki’s sole importer and distributor in Nigeria.

The family got their start in Lagos, at a store that sold jewelry and other small items to the upper-middle class. Their father, George a Lebanese goldsmith who immigrated to Nigeria in 1936, ran the jewelry business.

George developed positive relationships with his clients, which benefited the company as it grew.

George’s sons, Anthony and Gabriel, expanded the family business in the mid-1950s by importing Miele, Durkopp, and Göricke motorcycles.

When the Nigerian government banned the importation of fully assembled motorcycles in 1979, the Boulos’ profile rose, propelling the company to the top of the country’s motorcycle sales.

The company purchased land in the Ogba Industrial Estate and began manufacturing complete Suzuki motorcycles. In addition, the company developed a distribution strategy, which resulted in the establishment of service centers across the country.

These centers were equipped with spare parts as well as a trained Suzuki mechanic at each location.

In 1985, the family expanded their holdings in Nigeria by establishing Bel Impex Limited, a leading tissue paper manufacturer. Between 2010 and 2016, the family worked as a representative for Piaggio India, partially assembling tricycles in the country.
