The case between Nana Ama Essien, a former contestant of Miss Commonwealth Ghana and the organisers of the beauty pageant plus the fetish priest called Torgbe Shito who brutally assaulted her over a ¢500.00 will be heard today in court.
This follows a recommendation by the Attorney General’s Department for the suspects to be tried for three offences; conspiracy to commit crime to wit trial by ordeal, trial by ordeal and assault.
24- year old Nana Ama took to Facebook to narrate her harrowing experience at the hands of the fetish priest after she was cunningly dragged to the shrine to spiritually investigate who stole an amount of ¢500 during their stay in the ‘pageantry’ house at the Miss Commonwealth Ghana in September.
The young lady, who has been traumatised by the shocking drama recounted how she was stripped naked and beaten with a cutlass by the fetish priest and his subordinates after the spirits told them she was the one who stole the money and other petty theft which were recorded in the house.
