Stonebwoy has disclosed that although he’s not fluent in the Jamaica Patois like the natives themselves speak it, some Jamaicans still believe he’s good at it and doesn’t believe he’s even a Ghanaian.

Speaking in an exclusive interview with Andy Dosty on Hitz FM, the multiple-award winning artiste said anytime he visits the country on his numerous business trips, Jamaicans seem awed by his way of expression especially with the knowledge he’s not a Ghanaian.

“They don’t believe I am outright Ghanaian. I am an African and we know the root culture and vibes, a Jamaican is a Jamaican but then they say I speak Patois than some of them…” he said.

Asked if they laugh at some of the Dancehall artistes who cannot speak Patois language with regards to fluency, Stonebwoy replied in the negative, saying “they don’t laugh at us; music is a universal language”.
