In a new development, a close confidant of the deceased business mogul and monarch have been arrested over the gruesome murder of the former, according to what we obtained from mynewsgh.com.
Police indicate that the two are suspected to have had a hand in the death of the chief who is also businessman.
“Two people so far have been arrested and we are keeping their names close to our chest”, Ashanti Regional Public Relations Officer (PRO) of the Ghana Police Service, ASP Godwin Ahyiayo confirmed on ‘Kumasi FM’ morning show hosted by Nana Yaw Mensah Joel.
According to the PRO, Police are still currently on a hunt for more assailants of Nana Fodour owned popular X5 pub at Ashanti New Town in Kumasi near the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Ashanti Regional office.
According to MyNewsGh.com the chief was gruesomely stabbed multiple times to death by his attackers on Sunday on night by his assailants according to police investigators.
The Police officers said they received information that a Toyota Landcruiser with registration number GC 7212-16 had been involved in an accident on the road but upon arrival at the scene, they realised it was the victim who was later identified as Nana Fodour had been stabbed.
The attackers reportedly also attempted to burn the vehicle.
The body of the deceased has since been sent to the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH) in Kumasi.
