Nana Yaw Kumi known in the showbiz circles as Kumi Guitar has revealed why his career has been stagnant for some time.
Speaking on Y Entertainment podium on Yfm in Takoradi, the ‘Break into 2’ crooner recounted how his song ‘Betweener’ was the toast of many gatherings and also enjoyed massive airplay due to his association with the erstwhile Zylofon media.
The trend, however, has changed for him in recent times
He said: My recent ‘Konkonsa song didn’t trend or go well because of the issues with Menzgold, the Bank Of Ghana & customers.
He further revealed that turbulent issue involving his CEO and friend, Nana Appiah Mensah (NAM1) & the Bank of Ghana which resulted in many customers of the gold firm losing their investments, has taken a toll on his career and even lost some fans.
The highlife artiste Kumi Guitar signed under the defunct Zylofon Media was however hopeful that things will turn around for him and that his friend NAM1 will bounce back likewise his career.
He took the opportunity to assure all Menzgold customers to be hopeful.
