Kuame Eugene has revealed that his father never supported his dream from day one and reinforced it by destroying the computer that he uses for beat production and storing his musical works.

The A-list star and one of the biggest artistes in the Afrobeat genre on the African continent divulged this when he took his turn on the award-winning United Showbiz Programme hosted by Abeiku Santana on United Television (UTV).

He said; My father loved and supported my dreams but he gave up when my music was not making it to the top. Therefore, he one day unplugged the computer I was working on and in effect destroyed the systems I was working with.

The Rockstar as he’s affectionately called said his mother gave him the chance to explore his talent by allowing him use a portion of her kitchen as a makeshift studio.

I opened a mini studio in my mother’s kitchen where I helped boys in the area to make music so I could get some money to get by.

Sometimes, I had to force my mother to make space for me in the kitchen so I could continue with my studio work. It got to a time when I just decided I needed to leave and that really helped.
