The most decorated Ghanaian rapper, Sarkodie has revealed that his mother still watches Indian telenovela, ‘KumKum Bhagya’, a programme aired on the Ghanaian TV station, Adom TV.
The reigning Artiste of the Decade made disclosed this at the Golden Bean Hotel in Kumasi where he attended a programme organised by Standard Chartered Bank.
KumKum Bhagya is one of the first Indian telenovelas that was aired Ghanaian televisions sets about eight years ago.
Many entertainment critics and industry players have criticized the upsurge of Indian telenovela on Ghanaian TV stations and have subsequently blamed the low patronage of the local movies on the influx of some of these foreign Telenovelas which have flooded the screens of many local televisions.
