Ahmed Banda otherwise known as Bandex has rubbished claims that his son, Rahim Banda has stopped acting due to his hiatus from the big screens.
According to the proud father, his son has stopped acting and only off screen because he is now in the Senior High School and would not like him to be moving in and out of school just because of production. He added that the best thing he can ever give his son is quality education.
‘It’s normal…you can’t be seeing him every day or all the time. It’s because of schooling; he’s in SHS now, and at that level, students are usually camped and I wouldn’t want my child to be moving in and out of school because of acting.
I think the best thing I can offer my son is quality education and at the appropriate time you’ll see him again. We have some new movies we will be releasing very soon and he’s also been featured in about two or three series yet to be released. So as I said, it’s just a matter of time…as at now, when he vacates, it’s all about studying,’ he said.
When asked how his son (Rahim Banda) manages his fame, Bandex responded, ‘normally, we don’t put the fame in his head even when we are in the house. We treat him normal; we make him understand he’s a normal human being like any other person. He understood this principle before entering Senior High School.
It’s about how you bring them up. If you make them feel they are special, they will take it everywhere…if you make them feel they are not extra-ordinary than others, they will be mindful of how they behave.’
