Controversial singer and songwriter Naira Marley was born to Mr. and Mrs. Fashola with the name Azez Fashola on 10th May 1994 at Agege in Nigeria.

He attained his General Certificate Of Secondary Education at Walworth School after he moved from Lagos to England peckham. He is known to be a brilliant student and as a matter of fact graduated with distinction at the Peckham Academy and furthered with business law at crossways college.

Naira Marley’s greatest wished career was to become a voice-over and MC when he was young. He later developed a passion for music and started singing in 2014. His best friends encouraged him to take his music career seriously which influenced him to release ‘Max Twigz” in 2015 before his debut EP Gotta Dance.

His song ”Issa Goal” which featured Olamide and Lil Kesh became and instant hit as the Super Eagles of Nigerian even used it during the 2018 Fifa World Cup.

According to Naira Marley his stage name was inspired from legendary Bob Marley’s name.

2019 was more of a blessing in disguise as his song ”Am I A Yahoo Boy” which featured Zlatan got him arrested by Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) on the same day of releasing the song but the song blew on various places.

Naira Marley went on to release ”Soapy” after his release on 27 June 2019 which the song went on to win Viewers’ Choice at 2020 Soundcity MVP Awards.

His six (6) track second EP ”Lord Of Lamba” was released in December 2019 which is a blend of Afrobeats and hiphop.

Naira Marley owns a record label ”Marlian Records” which was unveilled in 2019 during his “Marlian Fest” on 30 December 2019. The label houses other acts like CBlvck, Zinoleesky, MohBad and Fabian Blu.
