The president of the Republic of Ghana, Nana Addo Dankwah Akufo-Addo has been named the African of the Year.
This accolade was given to him by Forbes Africa and he is even the cover of the December issue of the magazine.
This development was announced on social media by one of the media personalities around the president, Jefferson Sackey.
Jefferson made this known in a recent post he made on his personal social media handle on Facebook. Making the post, he wrote;
“Meet Forbes African of the Year Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo. Focused, at the centre of the storm.”
In other news, astute media personality, Nana Aba Anamoah has asked the president to reconsider the 1.75% MoMo tax because it’s too high for something that is been used frequently.
This comes after the finance minister disclosed that the government is taking off some taxes and bringing in another which is every momo transaction that is 100gh and above will attract a 1.75% tax and Nana Aba along with others thinks it’s too high.
Nana Aba in a recent tweet asked the president Nana Addo to reconsider that because 1.75% is too high for something that is been used frequently and even some of the telecommunications might add their own charges to the tax percentage.
