In a recent Instagram post, American rapper Nas, has opened up on his ex-wife’s abuse allegations. In his open letter, the rapper claimed he is a mild mannered God fearing and a very fair human being who tries his best to please everyone.

He claimed although his ex-wife had accused him of abuse, he didn’t at any point in their marriage abuse her. He later revealed that it was his ex-wife who verbally abused his daughter and adding that his ex-wife became ‘jealous’ of her daughter.

He also pointed out to the fact that, after seeking for joint custody of their son in court, he is unable to see his son has frequently as he had wished.  In his open letter, Nas addressed that he had been violent towards his ex-wife. He stated clearly in the post, saying “I didn’t beat my ex-wife. Stop”

He then advised young men to run at the first sight of verbal and physical abuse when they encounter situations like his. He also made publicly the kind of hatred he has for his ex-wife now saying “I hate you so much right now. But I thought you were beautiful”

Nas and his ex-wife, Kelis, first met in 2002 at awards ceremony. They later married in 2005. The ex-couple have a son, Knight. In 2009, his wife filed for divorce citing irreconcilable differences.
