The Functional executive committee (FEC) of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) acting as the National Executive Committee has suspended Mr Bernard Allotey Jacobs .

In a press release signed by the National Chairman of the NDC Samuel Ofosu Ampofo, the former NDC central regional Chairman for the party has been suspended over persistent anti-party conduct.

This suspension came after the NDC requested media houses not to allow Allotey Jacobs to represent the party as their communicator. This resulted in the NDC boycotting Peace FM’s Political show “Krokrokoo” hosted by Chairman Kwame Sefa Kayi Wednesday morning.

Allotey Jacobs had addressed issues regarding President Akuffo-Addo’s promise to construct 88 district hospitals in the country within a year. He advised the NDC to cease the verbal attacks towards the ruling party and support the good course.

This statement from Allotey Jacobs arouse some anger with National Communications Officer Sammy Gyamfi who accused Allotey for not being a reflection of the party.

In a panel discussion on Peace FM’s Political show, Allotey Jacobs stated that some saboteurs have misconstrued his words and have accused him of labeling former president John Mahama of being corrupt.
